Job Description

Mission and Main Objectives:

We are seeking a dedicated Electrical Facility Engineer to join our dynamic team at the Sunderland Manufacturing Plant. Your mission will be to support and enhance our production capabilities while ensuring adherence to safety and compliance standards.

Outline and Responsibilities:

  • Safety Commitment: Uphold and support safety strategy.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Participate in refurbishment and obsolescence activities while ensuring compliance with CE marking and safety regulations.
  • Production Support: Collaborate with Production and Maintenance teams to achieve volume delivery targets.
  • Technical Assistance: Provide technical support to Maintenance to meet machine performance and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) goals.
  • Safety Enhancements: Design and implement safety improvements within the Castings department.
  • Contractor Management: Oversee and control contract labor, ensuring safety compliance, coordination, and quality of work.
  • Facility Upgrades: Work closely with planning engineering to deliver facility upgrades and modifications.
  • Improvement Activities: Plan, lead, and manage improvement activities during non-production times, including weekends and shutdown periods.
  • Service Contracts: Manage service contracts, procured services, and revenue budget.
  • Legal Compliance: Maintain a good understanding of legal compliance, including LOLER, PUWER, and Environmental regulations (preferable).

Qualifications

Experience and Qualifications Required:

  • Educational Background: Minimum HNC in an electrical discipline.
  • Professional Experience: Proven experience in facility upgrades and schedule management.
  • Contractor Management: Experience managing on-site contractor activities.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and report writing skills.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and reporting capabilities.
