Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer

Salary: Up to £46,000 commensurate with skills and experience

What you’ll be doing:

• Assist with stakeholder management and technical communication
• Attend acceptance events and provide technical authority against design intent
• Interface with multiple stakeholders for Power Improvement Project regeneration
• Act as the focal point for PIP equipment care and protection and maintenance as directed by Electrical Engineering lead
• To provide onsite support as required for delivery and OEM demands
• Support the Engineering leads with a variety of engineering tasks as directed

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

• Detailed working knowledge of Marine electrical systems, in particular High Voltage and other electrical systems
• Detailed working knowledge of processes for a Ship in maintenance in particular safe systems of work
• Able to build strong onsite relationships and communication with other teams involved in Type 45 Upkeep

The T45 Team:

T45 Power Improvement Project team works within the Warship Technical Authority organisation; however, it is typically located alongside an Upkeep project office, providing onsite support for PIP embodiment, set to work and commissioning. The electrical and controls element currently consists of a Lead Engineer and Senior Engineer. The intention is to expand this team with an additional Senior Engineer. The electrical team looks after HV system, LV system, diesel generator control, and ship automation aspects of the PIP programme.
