Your Role

As our school continues to develop and grow we are looking for a new person to come and join our school as a Senior Education Teaching Assistant (ETA's). Our Senior ETA's help to deliver a huge range of different strategies and approaches and to support the learning to individuals and small groups of people under the supervision of the teacher.

In your role as Senior ETA you will support the supervision, professional development and the well-being of a small team of ETA's and you will also provide occasional cover supervision across the school.

This role is designed to fit around your life. You will be in school between 8.45am and 3.45pm allowing you flexibility to manage your work life balance. An understanding and commitment to child development, learning and nurture principles

Experience

Enthusiasm and dedication to work with, support and improve outcomes for young people with complex needs

Experience of working with children or young people preferably within a school environment

Ability to lead learning activities with small groups of pupils

Ability to lead and develop a small team of staff

Experience of working with children with SEN

Numeracy and Literacy skills to a level to assist pupils with their work

An understanding of relevant policies/codes of practice and awareness of relevant legislation

Qualifications

Professional qualifications applicable to the role (e.g. teaching assistant qualification) or can demonstrate relevant experience
