Job Title: Group HR Director

Reports To: TBC

Role Purpose:

To lead the provision of an effective and efficient strategic human resource function and to lead in the development and implementation of organisational development strategies that enable and facilitate the achievement of organisational goals and cultural change.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Educated to degree level with professional membership of CIPD
  • Evidence of continuous professional development
  • Strategic HR & OD experience including broad experience of employee relations and of managing organisational change / growth
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to be creative and innovative.
  • Ability to communicate and influence at all levels of the organisation
  • Excellent computer skills with a high degree of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To manage the provision of an effective and efficient strategic Human Resources function, promoting best practice and consistency across the Bluefield Group of Companies.
  • Aid in the development of the Group by contributing to strategic thinking and planning with the Group Strategic Team (GST), Group Operations Team (GOT) and Bristol based Senior Leadership Team (SLT).
  • To develop organisational development strategies and policies that realise the full potential of employees, whilst meeting the Group's business and strategic objectives.
  • To develop and implement organisational and cultural change programmes that encourages innovation and alignment to our guiding behaviours.
  • Design and implement leadership, management development and talent management strategies to ensure effective succession planning.
  • Lead the development and execution of the Group's Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) strategy.
  • To develop and implement employee well-being programmes optimising the health of all employees (to include physical and mental health, happiness and job satisfaction).
  • Oversee and manage all aspects of the employee life cycle to include: recruitment and selection, on-boarding, remuneration, absence management, performance management, employee relations and leaver activity.
  • To continuously look for and implement new solutions and innovative ways to measure and improve employee engagement and the employee experience.
  • Support reward reviews and help to shape and implement the reward proposition to support business needs and to reflect the market
  • To establish a consistent people centred approach to management, aligned to the Group culture.
  • Responsible for development, implementation and review of all HR policies ensuring adherence to employment legislation and best practice.
  • To manage and develop people management systems to achieve ROI, efficiency of employee lifecycle activity and to enable the generation of accurate people metrics.
  • Provide guidance and expertise to all employee related matters globally, liaising with internal and external legal resources as needed.
  • Manage HR Team (including Group HR Manager and HR Administrator), Executive Assistant and Administration team, providing the right conditions so team members can reach their full potential, empowering them to learn and grow in their fields of expertise.
  • To lead the administration team in providing office site management and administration duties across the Group, enabling employees to operate safely and efficiently.

Interactions within the Bluefield Group:

Perform duties across the Group function with due regard to the complexities, interdependencies and requisite separations associated with each company.

  1. Maintain data security and confidentiality, operating discretely, professionally and within the policies common to the Bluefield Group.
  2. Develop good working relationships across the group by:
    1. Participation in group conferencing;
    2. Face to face meetings;
    3. Contribution to common group practices, projects and innovation;
    4. Travel as required to establish a presence and approachable figurehead for the Human Resource function

Job Location

At least 3 days in-person at the Bristol office with regular travel to London office (at least 1x/week). Overnight stays and travel where necessary will be at the company expense with a flexible approach required to travel outside of core hours.

Hours of Work

This role is primarily Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 17.30pm.
