Opportunity:

We are hiring a (senior) director-level consultant with an unwavering enthusiasm for impact, to grow our impact investing consulting practice. With a particular focus on team and project management, you will direct multiple projects simultaneously across a range of high-growth industries and client types. In addition to overseeing the delivery of projects, you will contribute actively to both business development and internal initiatives. In other words, you will have an integral part in accelerating Sagana's growth.

Responsibilities

    • Proactively lead projects across all Sagana Consulting's topic areas, ensuring quality and further developing team's skills
    • Project Management: Ensure high-quality, on-time delivery across multiple projects at once, by building and directing workplans, timelines and budgets. Direct story-boarding to define the direction of deliverables early in the project. Coordination and quality control of multiple team members' contributions to deliverables
    • Team management: Coach team members on project management. Support as needed on client relationships, when difficult circumstances arise. Proactively support cohesion and professional development of the team
    • Effectively develop and deepen relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders - both to execute on projects and to build Sagana's network
    • Strengthen existing client relationships and identify/cultivate new ones that generate new business for Sagana. As a director, you will write proposals and pitch new projects to both existing and new clients.

Skills and Experiences

    • Have at least 10 years of relevant work experience, including at least 3 years actively working in a well-established consulting firm. You know how to be a great consultant.
    • Experience managing and developing a team of consultants to deliver to a high standard
    • Experience working with culturally diverse client and colleague teams is necessary! You are a global citizen who thrives working remotely and across time-zones
    • Proven project management skills in growing complex projects with multiple and diverse stakeholders. You work across sectors
    • Thrive in an entrepreneurial culture. You get things done, pay attention to details as well as strategy and dive deep into the work when necessary. You like to build new ventures and your commitment to quality is unwavering
    • Skilled communicator, both written and oral. Comprehensive presentation and facilitation skills. Fearless in delivering complex messages
    • Fluency in English. Knowledge of other languages is an added advantage
