A&M's FSI team is expanding, and opportunities exist at the (Senior) Director level within our Wealth and Asset Management team. The ideal candidates will have a successful track record of contributing to projects within the WAM sector, specifically within cost reduction, performance improvement, target operating model design, transformation plan creation and implementation, and technology strategy definition.

As part of a highly skilled team, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Build the A&M brand and profile by successfully delivering client assignments and managing project teams to exceed client expectations
  • Contribute to practice building activities such as recruiting and training junior team members
  • Proactively supporting deal flow and generate sustained repeat business;
  • Acting as a delivery (Senior) Director for Performance Improvement services to the Wealth & Asset Management industry;
  • Leading rapid diagnostic and strategic transformation programmes that improve the business of today as well as enable the business of tomorrow;
  • Leading in rapid diagnostics through analytical and qualitative insight to identify opportunities to reduce cost & improve client performance
  • Develop and execute transformation plans including new target operating models, post-merger integrations and carve outs, cost reduction and revenue enhancement opportunities
  • Support clients in the design and definition of strategy and revenue growth
  • Leading initiatives within the FS team - including mentoring, knowledge sharing, etc to embed the A&M culture and values.Network with our service lines and work on external marketing events to build cross- service line relationships

The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to lead and be involved in business development activities and will join the team meetings where WIP, project pipeline, resourcing, marketing and business development initiatives are discussed. You will be actively involved in these discussions and be an integrated part of the Wealth and Asset Management team.

Requirements:

  • Industry knowledge:
    • Deep understanding of the wealth and asset management sector including service providers, technologies, and vendors.
    • Knowledge of financial markets and products, investment strategies, industry trends, and regulatory environments
    • Experience gained within a WAM focused team in a big-4 consulting firm, MBB or other advisory firms
    • Experience in strategy, and transformation working within the wealth and asset management sector
  • Technical Skills
    • Experience with the technology and data ecosystems of modern wealth and asset management firms (and the service providers that support them); OMS systems; technology integration and implementation projects.
    • Knowledge of digital trends and innovations in wealth and asset management, including fintech solutions and digital client engagement platforms
    • Understanding of industry regulations and compliance standards e.g. MiFID II, FATCA, and AIFMD.
  • Consulting Skills
    • Track record of successfully delivering major assignments
    • Demonstrable track record in converting business contacts and leads into sustainable, profitable revenue streams;
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex business challenges and develop actionable recommendations.
    • Bring experience in managing teams and working across multiple locations in Europe (and ideally globally), including third-party and in-house teams
    • Ability to critically assess information and derive meaningful insights
    • Skills in planning, executing, and overseeing projects, including managing timelines, resources, and budgets.
    • Ability to create and deliver clear, concise, and compelling presentations to clients and stakeholders.
    • Methodical and logical mindset to problem solving, an effective approach to time management and the ability to work to tight deadlines and in teams
  • Qualifications and Certifications
    • Strong academic track record combined with an action-oriented approach and well-developed analytical skills
    • Relevant professional certifications an advantage, e.g. CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst); CAIA (Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst); IMC (Investment Management Certificate); Financial Risk Manager (FRM)
    • Fluent business level English is essential. Additional European language skills including French, Spanish, Dutch, German or Italian are highly desirable
