Working Pattern - Hybrid - 2 days per week in our Vitality Bournemouth Office. Full time hours: 35 hours a week.

What this role is all about:

The Senior Salesforce Developer will oversee and implement the strategy for a key business area. You will mentor highly skilled, dedicated, agile developers in creating features and optimising the Salesforce platform to deliver priority initiatives that meet business objectives. You will assist the Salesforce Development Manager in the execution of high-level designs from concept stage to development to improve and enhance business processes.

The role involves leading a small team, working closely with other members in the CRM team, and collaborate with other members of the Vitality Salesforce structure. The Senior Salesforce Developer will assign and monitor their teams development items , however you may be will be required to support medium-to-large developments that fall within the remit of the wider Distribution CRM area.

Key Actions

  • Mentor a team of developers, ensuring personnel and professional development KPIs are met.
  • Development of the business specific features to support the aligned business areas operations.
  • Build strong relationships within the business area, and ensure confidence in the platform capabilities remains at the highest level through communication and action.
  • Ensure all changes to the CRM platform(s) are released as part of planned release cycles for the associated business areas.
  • Work alongside the business areas Salesforce Point of Contact to communicate the relevant change requests, and ensure all bugs are appropriately resolved.
  • Brief Salesforce Development Manager and Salesforce Point of Contact on all risks, issues, dependencies, and small change requests for reporting.
  • Ensure adherence to Agile best practice as part of all developments.
  • Ensure you understand and adhere to our Code of Conduct and where appropriate, comply with all relevant regulatory policies and mandatory training requirements.

Essential Skills needed to fulfil this role:

  • Good investigative, analytical and logical problem solving skills.
  • Experience working within Agile methodology and use of governance tools (ie. Confluence).
  • Ability to communicate effectively with development team, management and business users.
  • Familiarity with a variety of programming languages.
  • Experience working on Salesforce products, implementing solutions using a variety of functionality options. This will include integration with other systems.
  • Has attained Salesforce certifications, either in administration or development, and is working towards more advanced certifications.
