Your role
As the Senior Digital Marketing Campaign & Automation Manager, you'll have a passion for Marketing Technology with experience of how it underpins GTM activity. You'll have expertise in Marketo, Salesforce and intent applications such as DemandBase, and understand how these applications integrate and share marketing data, and learn how they fit and add value within our wider Global Martech stack in which you will operate.
You'll act as our internal subject-matter-expert on Marketo program builds, database segmentation, targeting and execution, with a strong focus on the email channel. You'll work with an EMEA footprint of field marketing teams, advising them on best practice, troubleshooting queries, managing Marketo program quality assurance, and building out programs yourself where necessary. You'll be responsible for the implementation, upkeep, execution, and best practices of DemandBase to support both EMEA field marketing teams and sales.
Sitting on the Global Growth Team, you'll work closely with other Global Growth team members including: Content, Digital Experience, Paid Advertising, Operations and Reporting, which will feed into GTM and Marketo activity and execution. The Digital Marketing Campaign & Automation Manager will report to the Director, Digital Automation Operations & Activation.
What you'll do
- Think strategically with an ongoing improvement mindset while maintaining ability to manage as needed custom Marketo and DemandBase requests.
- Establish, maintain and optimise scalable marketing automation processes that use best practices for campaign management.
- Collaborate with Marketing leadership and team members to support in the creation of global, regional, and segment-based GTM campaigns for acquisition, lead nurturing, customer cross-sell/up-sell, and customer retention.
- Generate analytical insights that drive significant email subscriber growth and response improvement.
- Define, document, educate, and train the EMEA marketing teams on Marketo and email marketing best-practices for continuous improvement.
- Manage the Marketo program build quality assurance for EMEA marketing teams and external agencies, including: email assets, campaign triggers, smartlists, list uploads, Salesforce campaign sync and API integrations including 3rd party publications and the Splash event platform.
- Maintain and support request / ticketing process within the global project management application. Making sure marketing teams are driving Marketo requests correctly through the system.
- Measure and optimise Marketo lead nurturing workflows with a focus on driving engagement, efficiency, and scalability.
- Develop and maintain responsive email and landing page templates consistent with brand standards.
- Global database segmentation best practice via Marketo target lists, based on firmographic and persona data entry points.
- Support the global compliance program, enforcing rules to maintain compliancy within Marketo programs.
- Perform basic administrative functions such as setup of Users, Profile and Role Management and other account configurations for Marketo and DemandBase.
- Define, document, educate, and train the EMEA marketing and sales teams with DemandBase targeting strategies based on intent and engagement behavior that will optimise campaign and prosepcting results.
- Support teams on broader initiatives and projects that will help drive the growth including, ABM and enhanced marketing programs, and make a positive company-wide impact.
- Stay informed on the latest digital marketing trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to drive innovative strategies.
What you'll need
- Bachelors Degree or higher, or equivalent qualification.
- 5+ years of Marketing Automation experience with at least 2 years using Marketo specifically Marketo Certified
- Proficiency with Salesforce.
- Experience using intent applications. DemandBase would be nice to have!
- Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS (some experience with JavaScript is a plus).
- Solid experience in email channel and campaign level reporting, metrics and audience analysis, as well as a moderate level of fluency with data interpretation.
- Must have proficient copy writing skills for emails
- Commitment to quality, accuracy and consistency.
- Some experience with Photoshop & Adobe Suite would be a nice to have!
- Competency with data, sound testing tactics, and strong quantitative skills to support data informed decision-making and recommendations.
- Experience with campaign attribution and developing UTM parameters
