Qualifications

Essential criteria

  • Good general education to GCSE level or equivalent
  • Foundation degree or relevant experience

Desirable criteria

  • European Computer Driving License
  • NVQ level 3 health or social care

Knowledge

Essential criteria

  • Understanding disability or illness on function
  • health safety and risk awareness
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Good organisational skills
  • Supervision skills

Desirable criteria

  • Knowledge dietetic assessment and intervention

Training and Experience

Desirable criteria

  • Worked within a dietetic depatment
  • Experience of lone working

  • Ability work alone in wide variety of different environments

  • Ability carry awkward loads and equipment
  • Ability manage crisis
  • Responsibility for care of patients with chronic progressive terminal disease
  • Working with patients, families and carers who may be distressed, depressed or aggressive

  • Hold UK driving license and has access to a car

Applicant requirements

The postholder will have regular contact with vulnerable people and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
