About us
In Camden we are committed to working together to make our borough the best place to live, work, study and visit. Partnership with our communities is central to the way we work, so that everyone can access opportunities, and nobody gets left behind.

Help to deliver Camden's Community Investment Programme (CIP), our plan to invest over £2billion in new council homes, schools and community spaces, including delivering 1,800 council homes as one of the leading builders of new social housing. We have now delivered over 1,500 homes; we have another 495 homes currently under construction and 1,014 within the approved pipeline.

The role
To achieve our mission, we're looking for two Senior Development Managers to join us. It's your chance to help build better futures by increasing the supply and quality of affordable homes, workspace and public realm improvements for diverse communities throughout Camden. You'll manage and deliver a technically complex portfolio of regeneration building projects from start to finish. You'll help to secure the vital investment that funds our new and replacement affordable homes and mixed-use commercial spaces. Driving innovation, best practice and best value, you'll be accountable to our project sponsors and governance boards. As well as leading a team of colleagues and consultants, you'll actively engage stakeholders such as our residents, community groups, businesses and elected members. You'll make it your priority to ensure everyone has a voice. Working closely with our communities sometimes requires being physically present and working outside normal working hours and we have flexible working arrangements so you can balance your hours across the week.

About you
We're looking for experienced development professionals who can think creatively. You'll bring an excellent understanding of project management in a property development context, and a strong knowledge of governance, procurement processes and construction contracts. Crucially, you're also great with people. You are comfortable with financial spreadsheets and appraisal tools and have strong stakeholder negotiation and report writing skills. Alongside a thorough knowledge of design, town planning, land acquisition, financial viability, construction and sustainability, you also understand how regeneration initiatives can address deprivation, community safety and cohesion.
