About the role

We are seeking a Senior Graphic Designer with a passion for film who can work across disciplines including print, digital and video. As a full-time member of the Design team at MUBI you will be working directly with our Creative Director, Pablo Martín and Senior Design Director, Sauman Wong.

The nature of this role is hybrid, and will require office presence for at least two days per week in the London HQ.

You will focus on:

  • Leading, developing and executing creative solutions to promote our curated film programming, including brand campaigns, social media assets, film key art, motion graphics for trailers, and more;
  • Mentoring junior designers on the team and understanding their needs, providing guidance and constructive feedback on their work. Delegating tasks to them with clear instructions;
  • Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams at MUBI, maintaining a professional manner at all time;
  • Able to problem solve independently;
  • Proactively exploring new ideas for MUBI's visual brand identity.

What you will bring:

  • A contemporary design aesthetic, proven conceptual and executional abilities, a track record in conceptualising and designing compelling experiences across digital, mobile, print and video;
  • Formal design education with at least 5 years professional experience;
  • Solid experience in motion graphics and art direction;
  • Professional proficiency in InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and After Effects;
  • Ability to follow and execute brand guidelines, while proactively contributing to the evolution of our brand;
  • Confidence to express your opinions, but also highly collaborative and open to feedback;
  • Excellent understanding and experience of graphics production techniques, including image manipulation, editing and compositing in all media.
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills; ability to juggle multiple tasks comfortably
  • A passion for films and design, and stay up-to-date with current design trends. You are always interested in learning new tools and skills, understanding their potential to enhance your professional development.
