Job Title: Senior Designer

Work Arrangement: Office based (Hybrid option available post probation period)
Location: London
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000p.a.
Overview:
We are looking for highly motivated, conscientious professionals with the ability to run a job and lead a team on a project to the highest standards. This is an excellent opportunity for a person who is well presented, enthusiastic and passionate about design and leadership.
The candidate will be required to:
- Prepare Concept design for Director review.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal English.
- Confidently express design ideas with hand sketches / digital sketches.
- Proficient in creating full concept, including storyboards and InDesign layouts.
- Present the design scheme to clients and consultant teams.
- Be advanced in AutoCAD, and be able to produce detailed design drawings.
- Prepare and guide a team through a detailed design package. Offering mentorship on all aspects from Architectural Details to Joinery drawings.
- Drive projects forward, knowing their projects inside out.
- Be able to have oversight of more than one area of a project, or multiple projects at one time.
- Co-ordinate with consultants and suppliers.
- Participate in site meetings, mockup reviews, joinery workshops, assisting with implementation, problem solving and snagging.
- Have a proactive approach to problem solving.
- Mark up shop drawings for construction purposes.
- Show exceptional time planning and organisation skills to ensure efficient project management. This will include reviewing programming and budgets.
- Build and grow existing client relationships.
- Have a proven ability to lead and mentor team members.
- Maintain knowledge of up-to-date UK building requirements and regulations, following industry guidelines for Hospitality Design.
- Direct and develop material palettes with relevant knowledge for commercial interiors.
- Develop bespoke FF&E design from concept through to production.
- Create Sketchup 3D block models to visualise spatial volumes and develop the design.

- Experience in managing a small team, starting with a minimum +3 individuals.

- Communicate with confidence when engaging with Directors, Clients and Consultants.
- Maintain transparency and clarity with all Directors/Owners.
- Effectively manage personal and team workloads, ensuring project timelines are met consistently.
- Establish ongoing client relations to ensure future project collaborations.
- Understand the difference between high-level and in-depth reporting.
- Demonstrate the ability to prioritise tasks with clarity for themselves and their team.
- Be committed to high design standards and contribute actively to studio culture.
- Have an understanding of international design projects and current openings.
