Senior Design Manager

Danny Sullivan Group are currently looking for a Senior Design Manager for a role with a Tier 1 contractor working on a wastewater treatment plant in South West London.

Ideal candidate would have good civils/utilities/water experience and come from a Tier 1 background. Strong civil engineering knowledge and ability work effectively with the site and design teams on this complex wastewater treatment project.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design Management:Lead the design process for wastewater treatment plant projects, ensuring all designs are innovative, cost-effective, and compliant with industry standards.
• Coordination:Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, architects, and contractors, to ensure seamless integration of design elements.
• Quality Assurance:Implement and maintain rigorous quality control procedures to ensure all designs meet project specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Client Relations:Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and ensuring design solutions align with their expectations.
• Budget Management:Monitor design budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effective solutions are implemented.
• Risk Management:Identify potential design risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
• Sustainability:Incorporate sustainable design practices to minimize environmental impact and enhance the efficiency of wastewater treatment systems.
• Reporting:Prepare and present regular design progress reports to stakeholders, highlighting key achievements and addressing any issues.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in design management, with a focus on wastewater treatment projects.
• Strong background on water framework projects
• Strong knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
• Excellent project management skills, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex design projects.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
