Salary: From GBP 52,500 - GBP 64,838 depending upon experience (Sheffield)

From GBP 60,375 - 74,813 depending upon experience (London)

The Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Delivery Manager to join our existing Operations Team.

The purpose of the role is to manage the IT Cloud Projects, deliver cloud strategies, transformation, and projects on leading commercial Cloud platforms.

You will manage and help evolve the Cloud technology roadmap to support the company in achieving its IT objectives as well as manage the delivery of Cloud projects in line with best practice project management disciplines and the company's Change Framework to ensure all projects are delivered on time, to budget and within quality expectations.

You will closely manage engagement with Third Party providers and technical teams to ensure their services are delivered within quality and time constraints and ensure that strong relationships are maintained.

You will validate, review and provide challenge to vendor proposals. Ensure alignment with business requirements as well as facilitate technical and non-technical meetings in line with the agreed governance structures to ensure progress remains on track.

You will produce project control documents and progress reports for stakeholders, pitched at the appropriate level for the audience and highlighting any risks or issues as appropriate and work with internal and external stakeholders to effectively manage scope, issues and risks that have an impact on timelines, quality or budget.

The role will also involve manage the budgets for IT projects, ensuring costs are in line with expectations as well as delivery backlogs, prioritising outstanding activities.

You will be responsible for developing, documenting, publishing and maintaining IT project management standards, plans and procedures (including governance)

To be considered for this role you must have experience and a proven track record of delivering successful IT projects in a similar role(s).

You will ideally be an expert with Cloud Platforms, with a strong technical knowledge of IT and Azure cloud services.

You will be familiar with CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure as code as well as having demonstrable experience managing Azure cloud projects.

You must have previous knowledge of best practices for project management with an appreciation of both Waterfall and Agile delivery methodologies, and the ability to apply them appropriately. A Formal project management certification (PRINCE2, Agile) along with experience managing conflicting task priorities through the application of scoring mechanisms.
