About the role

The role holder will drive forward and deliver outcome-focused enterprise systems change across the organisation. The Senior Delivery Manager will lead on the delivery of roadmap items involving cross functional projects. Although reporting into the technology team, they will work closely with a range of other teams like supply chain, finance, digital, product etc. to shape and manage the backlog of change. They will work closely with internal resource, architects and developers to ensure business requirements are understood, resources are committed to delivery and projects are kept on track.

The Senior Delivery Manager will work across the whole portfolio of backend systems including but not limited to ERP, PoS and OMS. They must be confident and assertive where required and work pro-actively to resolve blockers or impediments to delivery, including through escalation where required.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT AND CO-ORDINATION
• Plan projects and enhancements in sufficient detail to ensure integration of all activities and identification of dependencies
• Able to take a continuous approach to planning, forecasting, estimating, managing uncertainty, metrics and measurements, contingency planning and roadmapping
• Able to communicate the plan, planning assumptions and progress to a range of stakeholders
• Pro-actively manage budget, risk and resources in conjunction with internal stakeholders

RESOURCE MANAGEMENT
• Ensure all necessary cross-functional resources are identified and committed to the delivery plan
• Communicate to ensure that all resources understand their roles and responsibilities

About you

  • Project management experience

• Experience in managing cross-functional delivery teams
• Demonstrable experience with introducing agile and lean practices into an organisation
• Good understanding of ERP and integrations architecture
• Good understanding and experience of retail environment
• Able to maintain, influence and motivate a team
• Able to ensure the team is transparent and that the work is understood externally
• Able to create an open and collaborative environment to work in, be flexible, adaptable and have a willingness to learn
• Able to navigate and negotiate around obstacles, does not shy away from difficult conversations
• Hands on practical approach
• Able to demonstrate initiative and a proactive approach to workload
