Your new role

Reporting to our Dealing Manager here in London, you will join our growing International Dealing & Execution desk, playing a crucial role within our Liquidity and Implementation department globally.

The desk is a multi-asset class desk, working across a range of products including fixed income, rates and bonds, foreign exchange, cash, equities to name a few, where you would have responsibilities across:

  • Executing and Implementing strategies
  • Stakeholder Management, both internally and internally
  • Governance and Compliance

This Senior Dealer will:

  • Assist in the rolling of Futures and FX positions on a monthly/quarterly basis.
  • Focus on trading costs within the best execution framework.
  • Ensure all trading is conducted within the laws/regulations of each country and/or exchange.
  • Maintain compliance with all internal policies and procedures.
  • Proactively maintain strong working relationships with all offices globally
  • Help drive information flow on market intelligence to the Portfolio Management teams.
  • Maintain and develop strong existing and new sell-side relationships across all asset classes and desks.
  • Assist in the design, implementation and testing of new trading platforms and financial instruments.
  • Drive execution efficiency and ultimately lower costs for our members.

This position is a regulated/certified FCA seat within the Fund.

This role is based on-site at London King's Cross Estate, one of the core assets of the Fund's global portfolio, with a hybrid work schedule. The team cover both London and New York market hours where flexible work arrangements can be made for the successful candidate.

What you'll need

Culture is key at AustralianSuper, and we are looking for someone who is a team player that enjoys working in a high performing collaborative team, with:

  • Significant experience working within a regulated financial trading environment.
  • Excellent experience in trading Foreign Exchange and Fixed Income Products across G10 and Emerging Markets
  • Exposure in complex rates structures (Asset Swap, Basis Swap, Country Spreads, Butterflies, etc.)
  • Track record working across broad range of markets, market structures and instruments.
  • Relevant degree and/or qualifications
  • Outstanding communication and collaboration skills, with strong sell-side relationships across UK/US
  • Multi-Asset experience is a plus, but FX & FICC will be the key focus, complementing the existing team.
  • Experience across a range of tools, trading platforms and programmes such as: Microsoft Suite (Excel), Blackrock Aladdin, Bloomberg, TradeWeb, FXAll, FlexTrade, Best-X, Virtu, etc.
