The role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Product Manager to oversee and execute the strategy and execution for our suite of Data Products and tools, which support ITVX and our growth plans. This role is critical in enabling data-driven decision-making across the Product and distribution teams.
You will be the primary point of contact for Data Products and related tools within the ITVX Product & Distribution Data domain. As an individual contributor, you will work closely with engineering, data science, and business stakeholders, reporting to the Director of Product for Growth and New Value Propositions.
Main responsibilities
- Define and champion the product vision and strategy for our ITVX Product & Distribution Data Products and tools: Develop a deep understanding of business needs and translate them into a compelling product vision and roadmap for data products and tools related to Streaming.
- Lead and own existing Data Products, services & tools: Take ownership of, evaluate effectiveness, identify gaps, and develop plans for improvement or replacement as needed of:
- ITVX Behavioural Analytics tooling and the Data Products built on Google Cloud Platform which powers it.
- Client and server collection and processing data products within the user and video technology domains.
- ITV linear viewing data collection technology.
- Experimentation tooling (server & client side).
- Google Cloud Platform data products or services which use or process data.
- User consent tooling & data products across devices and platforms.
- Tagging strategy: Working closely with our engineering & delivery teams to provide a broader data product and collection strategy for transitioning of Tagging & collection from central data technology into the streaming domain, encompassing data collection (video and non-video) and tag management frameworks and operations.
- Contribute to the overall Data Product strategy: Collaborate with other Data Product Managers in Marketing & Insights groups to ensure a cohesive and consistent product practice across the 'Viewer' strategy and operating group.
- Developing new Data Products: Work with stakeholders to identify opportunities for new data products within the Streaming domain, focusing on Data Products that support new experiences and partner integrations.
- Interface with Central Data Tech: Effectively communicate and collaborate with the Central Data Tech team, briefing in requirements as one of Central Data's main stakeholders. Ensure alignment on data product development, infrastructure, tooling, and data product roadmap
- Support, Establish & Lead the operations of Data Product management and synchronise operations, frameworks, governance and escalations amongst other Data Product Managers within the Viewer team.
- Lead the entire product lifecycle: From ideation and discovery through to launch and iteration, you will manage the end-to-end product lifecycle for your portfolio. This includes conducting research, gathering requirements, analyzing data, writing user stories, and collaborating with multiple engineering teams to deliver high-quality data products.
Skills you'll need (minimum criteria)
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Business, or related field); - this is desirable
- Extensive experience in product management, with a focus on data products and tools.
- Deep understanding of data and analytics concepts, including data collection, processing, and visualisation.
- Experience with streaming technologies and platforms is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate requirements into actionable Data Product specifications.
- Experience working in an agile development environment.
