The Role
We're looking for a Senior Data Engineer who can design and build scalable, high-performance data solutions. This isn't just about writing code; it's about driving real change through data. You will:
✅ Design & build end-to-end data pipelines to handle complex transformations and large-scale processing.
✅ Solve real-world problems-your work will enable business-critical analytics, reporting, and AI-driven insights.
✅ Collaborate cross-functionally, working with data product teams, analysts, and architects to ensure optimal solutions.
✅ Improve data reliability & quality-you'll take an active role in developing automated testing, monitoring, and validation frameworks.
✅ Lead by example, mentoring junior engineers, shaping best practices, and contributing to key technical decisions.
What you'll bring
We're looking for a skilled engineer who doesn't just use technology but knows how to leverage it to solve business challenges. You should have:
Proven experience data engineering with large-scale processing. If it's on your CV, be ready to discuss how you've used it.
Deep expertise in PySpark. You should be comfortable optimizing Spark jobs and working with large datasets efficiently.
Cloud experience (GCP/ AWS). You know how to work with cloud-native data tools like BigQuery, Airflow, and messaging queues.
Strong coding skills in Python and SQL. Scala is a plus, but not required.
A track record of building reliable, maintainable, and scalable data pipelines. You understand architecture, performance optimization, and best practices.
Experience writing production-grade code, including automated testing and CI/CD deployment (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
