This job is brought to you by Jobs/Redefined, the UK's leading over-50s age inclusive jobs board.

Job Description

At DNV, we help the energy industry transition to a decarbonized and sustainable future, with a focus on safeguarding life, property, and the environment. Our team takes pride in our shared purpose.

We are at the heart of a digital transformation, having secured a number of exciting, high-profile digitalization projects across the energy sector. To accelerate this process, our team is scaling data analysis competence to enhance our energy systems digitalization service portfolio and capabilities.

As part of the Digital Energy team in the UK and Ireland, you'll support energy industry customers in preparing for the future. You'll provide data-driven insights to enhance performance and ensure compliance across the value chain, from power grids to gas networks; from energy production to storage

You'll be working with our customers to propose new ways of storing, transforming and using energy sector data; you'll initiate data cleansing, curation and re-structuring. Using a range of tools, particularly Python, you'll maintain strong internal governance with software like VS Code, Azure DevOps, and Microsoft Azure.

You'll bring a knowledge of industry best practice drawing on relevant technical standards, as well as leveraging in-house expertise: driving and demonstrating use of DNV recommended practices including data quality; data management, and asset information models. As a Senior Consultant, you'll join a team passionate about solving energy industry challenges and making a positive impact on the future of our planet.

Located in London, Glasgow, or Bristol, you'll work with forward-thinking customers and technical experts on significant projects. You will be given the time to build your network, the resources to support your development, and the freedom to satisfy your curiosity and desire to learn.

We're looking for candidates who are passionate about working at the intersection of technology and the energy system within a relatively small yet creative team.

Your role will involve:

  • Owning the development of specific deliverables whilst working with clients within the energy sector on data science; analytics; and transformation projects.
  • Driving technical best practice within the team, and for our clients.
  • Writing proposals to support the development of new business whilst engaging with external customers on topics related to digitalization and innovation.
  • Working with engineers in the energy industry to explore the market potential of new services and features across the entire value chain (e.g. decarbonization, renewables, power grids, gas transmission and distribution).
  • Managing small-to-medium value projects; engaging with external customers on projects related to digitalization of the energy sector (incl utilities, energy production, asset owner/operators).

Responsibilities

We value all our people and the contribution they make to our business, so it's important that our rewards make us all feel valued here. That's why we recognise individual needs and offer a flexible reward and benefits package, allowing you to choose the things that matter to you, including:

  • Exceptional development and career progression opportunities.
  • Discretionary Profit Share Scheme.
  • Lifestyle benefits: 26 days annual leave + bank holidays, opportunity for up to 10 days unpaid leave, sabbatical leave, flexible working options.

  • Travel benefits: Season Ticket Loan, Cycle to Work Scheme, Electric Vehicle Salary Sacrifice Scheme (for personal use).
  • Re-imbursement of relevant Professional Membership Fees (up to £500).
