Right now, we are looking for talent for the following teams to be based out of our Edinburgh, Glasgow, or Wilmslow locations:
Senior Data Analysts in our Data & AI Strategy team to work with senior business stakeholders to conduct analysis of complex, multidimensional problems that will help us to identify and prioritise strategic opportunities for value. Successful candidates will need a strong track record of using their analytical skills, and applying robust statistical methods, to identify key value drivers and model potential scenarios to inform our decision making at a strategic level.
Senior Data Analysts in our Data Solutions team to work with our team of data engineers, data scientists and senior business stakeholders to apply cutting edge analytics to turn our data into actionable customer and business insights. Successful candidates will need strong analytical skills, curiosity to seek out the gems of insight within our data assets, and excellent business understanding and communications skills to bring those findings to life for our business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with senior business stakeholders and technical subject matter experts to explore strategic opportunities for value, mining complex datasets using advanced analytical techniques to uncover trends, patterns, and insights that can inform strategic decision-making, prioritisation and increase our conviction in attainable value.
- Articulate the value of an insight-led approach in business decision making through effective storytelling, by presenting your findings as actionable insights for senior leaders in a clear and concise manner to support strategic decision-making which will deliver real change.
- Liaise with subject matter experts to identify data that is important and collaborate with colleagues to define effective approaches to deliver a path to value.
- Ensure integrity and accuracy in all analyses, recommendations and evaluations.
Experience:
- Strategic thinker with a proven track record of analytical problem-solving using complex data and statistical methods to drive insight-led, strategic decision-making
- An inquisitive mind, constantly looking at opportunities with curiosity, and confident in handling complexity and ambiguity
- For the Data Strategy role, we are looking for colleagues who are skilled and experienced in statistical analysis and modelling, proficient in data wrangling and data feature engineering; experienced in relevant data technologies such as Azure, DataBricks, PowerBI, and coding languages such as Python, SQL ideally experience using Git to ensure a robust, versioned and traceable codebase
- Strong influencing and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex messages and concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Willing to embrace new opportunities to learn, keen to champion and embrace opportunities for innovation
- Desirable - an understanding and experience of behavioural science techniques
- Desirable - motivation to coach and develop data analysis skills in others
