Role & Responsibilities:

The post holder will hold a senior role within the School Planning Team and will provide specialist advice and guidance to the school place planning teams strategic plan and key operational objectives through continuous refinement of core data sets relevant to the infrastructure of school place planning needs.

You will be expected to maintain up to date knowledge of census data and other related data sets relevant to pupil place planning to support production of the county's pupil projection forecasts which are the tool to support officers in understanding the county's sufficiency position.

Your new journey in the School Place Planning Team will bring a diverse workload with challenges and opportunities at every turn. We need someone with substantial experience in analysing and synthesising data to produce meaningful reports in a manner that is accessible to all, including non-technical colleagues.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated together with a proven history of working with a range of IT systems and structures that have supported and delivered business accuracy and efficiency.

They will have:

  • Exceptional IT skills and significant experience in managing the collection and analysis of data to inform decision making.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and work collaboratively across a range of county council services, schools, and other partners.
