Role Overview:
As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead the delivery of a diverse range of Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement and Business Central projects. You will work closely with clients and consultants to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and within scope. Projects typically range in size from £10k to £250k, offering a dynamic and challenging environment.
What skills and working characteristics should this person have?
- Project Management Experience: Proven experience in managing projects ranging from £10k to £250k+.
- Risk Identification and Mitigation: Ability to identify areas of risk that might derail a project and implement effective risk mitigation strategies.
- Methodologies: Well-versed in traditional waterfall project management methodologies such as Prince 2, as well as agile methods like Scrum or DSDM.
- Dynamics 365 Expertise: Experience with Dynamics 365 projects or other recognized CRM business applications.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence and assertiveness needed for client-facing roles.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and highly organized.
- Documentation Focus: Strong focus on documentation and process adherence.
- Team Collaboration: Excellent team working skills and the ability to lead engagement and communication with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.
- Influence and Leadership: Proven ability to influence others and lead project teams effectively.
As a Senior D365 Project Manager, you'll be responsible for:
- Project Delivery: Take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and within scope. Maintain clear transparency of any variances while managing customer expectations.
- Risk Management: Actively manage risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies throughout the project lifecycle.
- Dynamics Roadmap: Stay up to date with the Dynamics roadmap and share relevant news and improvements with existing customers.
- Resource Management: Maintain an up-to-date forward schedule of consultant allocations to projects and tasks, ensuring efficient utilization of assigned staff and third parties.
- Standards and Procedures: Ensure all parties adhere to agreed standards and procedures.
- Team Accountability: Ensure accountability and efficiency within the project team, monitoring project progress and performance.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Lead engagement and communication with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.
- Leadership and Influence: Provide strong leadership to project teams, influencing and guiding them to achieve project goals.
