A well-established, family-run SME in the safety and workwear sector is seeking a Senior Customer Service Representative to play a key role in their customer support function. The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced customer service professional ready to take the next step in their career. You will be a senior figure within the team-supporting day-to-day operations, handling more complex enquiries, and gradually taking on leadership responsibilities.
You will work closely with Operations and Purchasing, helping to improve processes and ensure a consistently high standard of customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a senior point of contact for customer queries and escalations
- Support and mentor team members (2 1 on-shore and 2 off-shore)
- Monitor daily workloads and assist in allocating tasks to meet service levels
- Demonstrate and promote high standards of customer service
- Collaborate with Operations and Purchasing to act on feedback and drive improvements
- Take ownership of key processes including:
- Order processing
- Returns
- Quotations
- Delivery escalations
Development Opportunity
This role is designed with progression in mind. As you develop, you will take on increasing responsibility for team leadership, with a structured pathway into a Customer Service Team Leader position.
Requirements
- A minimum of three years' experience in customer service
- A confident communicator with a proactive, solutions-focused approach
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
- An interest in developing leadership and management capability
- A strong sense of ownership for the customer experience and continuous improvement
