We are hiring a Senior Credit Controller to join our current team of 13 associates and support the Billing and National Accounts Credit Control Leader in determining the vision and strategy for the Department, jointly supporting the ongoing improvements.

The successful candidate will be a key member of a high performing, client focused, billing and cash collection team that delivers to a high standard. Also provide support driving process improvement and efficiency through automation, scale, technology, whilst ensuring that all targets to reduce overdue debt are met in accordance with the business' controls environment and comply with group.

Responsibilities
• Support and manage a small team of Credit Controllers and Portal Associates
• 4-6 Direct reports
• Responsible for own AR ledger consisting of multiple clients.
• Ensuring aged debt reduction targets are met.
• Providing weekly/monthly client statements
• Attend and run client meetings via teams where required.
• Build a professional relationship with client AP teams.
• Liaising with key stakeholders to ensure queries are dealt with and ensure repeat problems are identified and resolved within a timely manner.
• Ensuring payment remits are received on time and in line with agreed payment terms.
• Maintaining KPI reports
• Data input and ensuring manual records and logs are kept up to date.
• Daily use of Excel (pivot tables, formulas, and lookups)
• Using several bespoke internal systems
• Attend off-site meetings as required.
• Assist with team training where required.
• Support in continuous process improvement projects.
• Ad hoc requests from Billing and National Accounts Credit Control Leader and HoSS

Requirements

Essential Skills

  • Min of 5 years Credit Control experience.
  • Experience of managing a small team.
  • Experience of high value ledger management.
  • Experience in FMCG with many client's
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels
  • Strong user of the Microsoft Office range - Excel
  • Self-starter and able to prioritise workload
  • Evidence of building and maintaining strong relationships with key business stakeholders.
  • Experience of effectively utilising KPIs to track and drive service performance and quality in a consistent manner.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, able to manage conflicting demands and priorities

Desirable Skills

  • ERP and finance application systems experience - M3.
  • Credica knowledge
