Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Birmingham Womens and Childrens NHS Foundation Trust as Senior Contracts Manager within our Contracting Team.

The post holder will be responsible for managing the portfolio of Forward Thinking Birmingham provider contracts. Key responsibilities will be developing and maintaining appropriate contract governance, negotiating and drafting contracts, contractual management and reporting. The successful candidate will need excellent communication, organisational, and IT skills. For further information please refer to the job description and person specification.

Essential

  • Educated to Masters degree level plus further management and commissioning knowledge to post graduate diploma level, or equivalent relevant experience

Desirable

  • Postgraduate qualification in accountancy or law

  • Experience of working in a health care setting
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Word, Office and Excel including use of pivot tables and other data analysis tools
  • Experience and understanding of evaluating and measuring performance of health services
  • Knowledge and experience of the NHS Standard contract

  • Experience of managing complex contracts
