Job Description
As a Senior Contract Operations Analyst; your main responsibilities will be:
- Key resource in daily business operations (end to end contract management, for example balance settlement, contract settlement, invoicing and payments, calculating and posting accruals, handling of complex customer requests etc.)
- Key resource in regulatory and collateral management processes
- Establish reliable interfaces by working in close cooperation with internal and external customers
- Communicate complex operational topics to stakeholders at various levels.
- Participate in multi-stakeholder initiatives within Statkraft.
- Drive knowledge transfer within the team, ensuring junior team members are well-informed and trained.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation, either leading optimization and automation efforts or coordinating with IT departments.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation for business processes, ensuring transparency and continuity.
Qualifications
- Degree-level qualification or equivalent of a bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or similar.
- Extensive experience in a similar operations-focused position or unit.
- Proven experience in the UK energy sector, with a strong understanding of flexibility markets, balancing services, PPAs or/and Retail market.
- Solid knowledge of contract management, market communication, settlement and invoicing processes within energy portfolios.
- Experience with SQL (ability to create reports, extract, and analyse data); knowledge of Python or other scripting languages is a plus.
- Familiarity with energy management data systems.
- Strong communication skills in English (mandatory).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- High degree of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining strong teamwork and collaboration.
