Senior Contract Officer - Catering

The Business Services department covers the professional support services that enable all East Sussex County Council's services to plan, manage and deliver their services to residents.
You will be providing operational management on a range of contracted catering services, whilst working closely with service providers to ensure services are delivered at all times in line with contractual and customer expectations. You will lead and manage the team working on catering contracts.
As part of the property contracts team, you will manage a team delivering school meals to schools and academies across the county, taking lead responsibility for all aspects of performance management and to ensure cohesive working and high-quality outcomes. You will also be the first point of contact for disputes and manage contractual issues that may arise. You will lead on measurement and reporting on performance of the school meals contract and use your initiative to develop the service. Effectively manage budget resources across the service provision within an appropriate governance and risk management framework. Help team members understand their goals and strive to deliver outstanding results.

- Knowledge of Public Sector contracts
- Ability to manage own workload
- Ability to lead a team
- Is proactive and able to use their initiative in problem-solving
