Job Title:
Senior Content Manager

Job Description:

Introduction

Dentsu is the network designed for what's next, helping clients predict and plan for disruptive future opportunities and create new paths to growth in the sustainable economy. Taking a people-centered approach to business transformation, we use insights to connect brand, content, commerce and experience, underpinned by modern creativity.

Dentsu International is a global leader that specialises in Sales, Marketing, Customer Experience, and Retention to enable clients to keep "winning" whilst ensuring customer growth and experience is at the very forefront for their businesses.

We're hiring a Senior Content Strategy Manager as part of our team in London on a FTC for 12 months working on a hybrid basis.

Purpose of the Role

We're looking for a performance-driven Senior Content Manager to join our award-winning Content Strategy team. We craft best-in-class strategies rooted in SEO, and social trends. We connect SEO with brand, to ensure our recommendations not only drive traffic and own SERP features but also ladder up into brand and audience strategies.

As search continues to evolve by the day, we can no longer think of content as solely 'content for SEO' - content needs to integrate PR, Social and UX in order to succeed in the eyes of search engines and the user. We factor this into our planning process, from our content audit to our integrated content calendars and trends packs, detailing the formats and channels required to meet the intent behind keywords.

Your responsibilities will include overseeing strategy for two of our biggest content clients, ensuring our planning and delivery is best-in-class. This will include content planning and analysis, client communication, team workflow management, integration with other specialist teams, planning and delivery QA/QC, training, and innovation. You will also be involved in upsell opportunities across the current client base and new business pitches.

Key Responsibilities

You will lead two accounts at dentsu, including on one of our biggest clients, a home and fashion retailer. Your key accountabilities are as follows:

  • Creating SEO Content Strategies which deliver organic performance, collaborating with different teams to ensure rich insights and an innovative approach
  • Identify upsell opportunities for Content and play an active role in pitching
  • Regularly interacting with clients, both face-to-face and on calls
  • Advanced user of tools such as AHREFS, SEMRush, Google Analytics, Glimpse
  • Report back to clients on the performance of content, including traffic, keyword gains, with a bigger focus on business outcomes
  • Line manage at least two Content Executives, coaching them and shaping their development within the team
  • Proficient in Microsoft packages, particularly Excel and PowerPoint as both are used heavily in the role

Candidate Profile

  • Be interested in the Content Marketing and SEO industry and share findings and knowledge with the team
  • You will be: Curious, Creative, Self-Motivated, Organised and Passionate
  • 4-5 years' experience in SEO/Content, either in-house or within an agency
  • Experience working with large retail brands and/or regulated industries
  • Exceptional client facing ability and a strong communicator and presenter
  • Experienced line manager, setting objectives and conducting performance reviews
  • Analytical and data driven while being able to problem solve creatively
  • The ability to work closely with various teams, contributing on a regular basis
  • Fluent written and spoken English, additional languages a bonus
