As an Oracle Testing/Release Manager in Delivery Services, you will have the opportunity to:
- Lead and manage the end-to-end testing lifecycle for complex Oracle ERP implementation and enhancement programmes, ensuring the quality and integrity of solutions.
- Design, implement, and oversee comprehensive test strategies, plans, and processes, including System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Performance Testing, and Regression Testing.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute software releases for Oracle applications, managing the release schedule, deployment activities, and associated risks to ensure smooth and successful transitions to production.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance on testing best practices and release management principles to project teams and clients, fostering a culture of quality and controlled delivery.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and communications across development, business, and operations teams regarding testing progress, defect resolution, and release readiness.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our testing and release management capabilities, driving efficiency and effectiveness in Oracle solution delivery.

Essentials:
- Practical experience in leading and managing testing activities ideally for large-scale Oracle ERP implementation or upgrade programmes (e.g., Oracle Cloud ERP, E-Business Suite).
- Proven experience in designing, executing, and managing comprehensive test strategies and plans across various test phases (SIT, UAT, Performance, Regression).
- Strong experience in release management, including planning, scheduling, coordinating, and deploying software releases for Oracle applications in complex environments.
- Experience and an understanding of Oracle ERP modules and possible integrations.
- Awareness and proficiency with testing tools (e.g., Oracle Application Testing Suite, HP ALM, Jira, Azure DevOps) and defect management processes.
- Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to identify, analyse, and report on defects, test coverage, and release readiness, translating technical findings into clear insights for stakeholders.
- Experience with various testing methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and release management frameworks (e.g., ITIL).
- Excellent written and verbal communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to travel when needed.
- Able to pass UK Government SC clearance vetting.
Desirables:
- Experience with test automation tools and frameworks for Oracle applications.
- Understanding of DevOps principles and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines in an Oracle context.
- Experience managing expectations and experience of delivering successful projects.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Oracle certifications, e.g., ISTQB, ITIL, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Foundations) or equivalent.
- Experience in a consulting environment.
