Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Consultant (senior-principal level) in London to support with our Healthcare and Defense sector projects to play a critical role in providing real estate and workplace strategies to our key clients.
Reporting to the local Real Estate Consulting Lead, you will lead and support on various, often concurrent projects and have the ability to manage your own workload and work both independently and part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Some of the standout projects we have delivered in recent months include a £4bn capital transformation estate strategy for one of the UK's largest hospital trusts, various evidence-based funding applications and business cases to support regeneration and service improvements, and new and innovative solutions in the workplace environment.
Your Background
You must be able to demonstrate one or more of the below:
- Experience working on built environment projects as a senior consultant or project manager
- Consultative background in Strategic Estates or Organisational Development
- Experience on transformational programmes and projects in the public or private sectors, with particular focus on healthcare, government or defence
Essential Functions
- A strategic thinker with significant understanding of the workplace market including current and future trends.
- A person who can meet with client leadership and other client representatives; conduct interviews; run workshops; conduct and analyse surveys; gather, analyse and summarise data in easy to understand presentations.
- The ability to analyse different dimensions of the client organisation's data and translate critical business/work processes into workplace models and spatial requirements.
- Manage workplace innovation projects to meet fee objectives, organise and manage resources, and be responsible for invoicing.
- Implement regular communications to clients and the business regarding project progress.
- Meet and interface with clients to develop options, finalise project concepts and prepare final documents for client approval.
- Support the development of workplace improvement proposals, stacking options, design reviews and relevant workplace solutions.
- In conjunction with the wider Advisory team help to develop a thought leadership strategy considering options and channels to develop and promote the workplace consulting offer to the market.
- Help support in identification of workplace strategy opportunities.
- Contributing towards the preparation of bid proposals.

- Excellent customer service acumen and interpersonal relationship skills throughout all job duties and responsibilities.

- Ability to analyse data, think critically, draw conclusions and present solutions in simple summarised ways. Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to effectively partner and deliver results in a matrix management environment.

- Project management and organisational skills.
- Ability to be effective while working independently and within a team environment.
- Knowledge of Well/LEED principles.
- Ideas on the future of the workplace post COVID and knowledge of the thought leadership in the market on this topic.
Qualifications
- 5+ years working experience in either workplace strategy or design/interior design/ corporate real estate occupier consulting/ Business Analysis.
- Degree qualified preferable but not mandatory
- One or more of: PRINCE 2, MSP, MRICS, APMPQ, Better Business Cases, other professional qualifications (desirable), PROSCI certified practitioner
- Experience of project managing workplace consulting and real estate consulting projects.
- Experience using technology and workplace/real estate data.
- Experienced in working in and delivering workplace/real estate solutions and strategies, within a corporate environment.
- Experience of engaging with stakeholders within complex environments.
