As a Threat Hunter at Deloitte, you are the engine room of delivering Next Gen Cyber Detection & Response capability. Our shift to fully threat led, proactive threat hunting means you will support client running deep investigation and analysis, focussed on the specific and unique threats our they face. Leveraging the latest cutting-edge technology, you will be enabled to operate across the full spectrum of Threat Intelligence analysis, threat hunting, purple/blue team testing, vulnerability analysis, adversary emulation, technical response, and tactical engineering improvement such as SOAR playbook enhancements, use case refinement etc. Our work spans compromise assessments, building threat hunts for clients as part of SOC migrations, uplifts and transformation or supporting our Cyber Incident Responders.
- Detecting gaps and limitations and proposing enhancement to clients current SOC detection capabilities
- Research trending campaigns, attack vectors, and provide insights for selecting the next Threat Hunt target
- Conduct investigations into common or predicted threats
- Create and implement Hypotheses led threat hunts, based on threat intelligence
- Research and define threat models for our clients
Connect to your skills and professional experience
As a Threat Hunter in Deloitte's Cyber team, you'll be our first line of defence against increasingly sophisticated cyber threats. Your innate curiosity, combined with advanced analytical skills and a passion for cybersecurity, will be crucial in proactively identifying, investigating, and mitigating potential risks to our clients' environments. Decide the best course of action to detect, investigate and respond to threats.
- Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
- Understanding of Security Operations working within or alongside Security Operations Centre(s)
- Experience developing content for Security Operating Platforms, such as alerts, threat hunts, Response Playbooks
- Experience carrying out Threat Landscapes and building detection threat models
- Experience with SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR and NDR Tooling, preferably Google SecOps (formerly Chronicle/Simplify), Crowdstrike, Corelight, Microsoft Sentinel or Microsoft Defender XDR
- Experience using a combination of Python, Regex, PowerShell, SQL, Google PIPE, Yara-L 2 & Kafka
