The Role

The role of Senior Consultant is to lead and guide Consultants and Analysts on projects globally, including new and existing client implementations, transformations, exiting client projects, remediations and significant internal projects. The Senior Consultant is accountable for defining the strategy to achieve the required deliverables for process, training and facilities workstreams. Occasionally, the Senior Consultant will travel to client sites (and AMS Locations) both in and out of the region. The size, scope and complexity of projects vary based on the client engagements.

Senior Consultant is responsible for understanding the contracted scope of service and managing interdependencies of other workstreams. The Senior Consultant reports to a Senior Manager or Head of and will engage with both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Accountabilities

What you'll be doing:

  • Defining and managing delivery of strategy to achieve required outcomes for process,
    training and facilities workstreams.
  • Responsible for driving client relationships. Builds strong relationships with
    stakeholders and develops relationships to the point where they take on the role of
    trusted advisor.
  • Managing / Coaching Project Consultants, ensuring they meet their deliverables.
  • Determining, according to project context, the most appropriate use of the
    methodology and toolkit to produce the outcomes required.
  • Leading and driving to completion entire end to end process design.
  • Guiding and leading strategy of Service Review Workshops to achieve end goals with
    E2E journey - plotting engaging delivery whilst retaining appropriate lens on sign off.
  • Understanding contracted scope of service and challenging scope creep, while
    ensuring identification of items subject to change control.
  • Reviewing process documentation for quality and accuracy. Managing
    interdependencies of other workstreams with consideration of SME /CoE's
    deliverables.
  • Identifying and communicating risks and issues to the Project Manager in a timely
    manner, making suggestions for mitigation.
  • Contributing to end of project lessons learned, providing input to lessons learned
    document and attending any associated meeting as arranged by the Project Manager.
  • Contributing to approach to operational stabilisation for Process and Experience
    workstream.
  • Supporting Consultants in the successful completion of handover and operational
    materials to the account.

Skills & Experience

You'll need to demonstrate:

  • Working knowledge of the full recruitment lifecycle from experience gained working
    within Recruitment and/or HR function.
  • Developing and driving best practice within Process, Experience and Training within an operational or project setting.
  • Demonstrated leadership/coaching experience.
  • Has a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Proven ability of managing internal and external stakeholder/client relationships and
    expectations.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines, supporting multiple deliverables/activities at any
    point in time.
  • Demonstrated capability in risk management and mitigation.
  • Ability to obtain agreement on key decisions with sign off from stakeholders on key
    milestones.
  • Ability to set clear goals and hold themselves accountable to deliver; requires little to
    no additional direction to achieve goals.
