Role overview

As Senior Consultant you will be responsible for supporting and leading specific areas of our client engagements meaning you play a critical role in ensuring the quality of deliverables and client experience are always of the highest calibre. You will also have responsibility for providing direction to juniors in the team, doing so in a way that motivates and inspires them to brilliance.

As we develop our offers in brand and innovation strategy through the integration of cultural insight, you will have the opportunity to shape the solutions we take to clients, ultimately shaping the way in which our clients' brands show up in the world.

What will I be doing?

You will be focused primarily on delivering cultural insights within our brand and innovation strategy practices. Working with a core Strategy3 team and a network of Ipsos collaborators you will play an important role in winning and delivering new business.

Alongside project work you will work with our Cultural Strategy lead and the heads of our brand and innovation practices to develop our offer and promote it through conferences, thought leadership content and client hotseats.

Day-to-day you can expect to be:

Winning and delivering work

  • With the support of the Cultural Strategy lead and relevant practice head, you will be engaging with clients to build awareness of our capabilities -joining briefing calls and presenting credentials
  • You will support the development of proposals and pitches, bringing your own perspective on the challenge and developing story-led content with direction from the pitch lead
  • You will own elements of client deliverables and client engagement, often acting as the main point of contact for our day-to-day client interactions and co-ordinating the team's activities to ensure deliverables adhere to the highest standards of quality and actionability

Subject matter expertise

  • You will keep abreast of the latest news, thinking and competitor activity relating to cultural strategy and share your ideas on what this means for our clients and their challenges
  • You will join cross-Ipsos meetings to exchange information and share perspectives on how we can best meet our clients needs
  • You will apply your knowledge to client challenges to ensure the approaches we recommend will deliver actionable outcomes for clients
  • You will understand the research and strategy landscape and what cultural insight uniquely delivers
  • You will know how to tell strategic stories using cultural insights synthesized with other data
  • You will represent Ipsos at client and industry events, being a spokesperson for the organization and contributing to the cultural conversation

This role offers hybrid working from our London office 3 days per week and the rest from home.

What do I need to bring with me?

The ideal candidate will bring a blend of both analytical and creative skills to bear on our client's problems, our internal relationships across the Ipsos organisation and our changing industry.

Specifically, we'll be looking for:

  • Solid professional experience, with either academic or consulting background in cultural strategy
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects
  • Outstanding workshop credentials, from design to co-facilitation
  • Strong business acumen and critical thinking
  • Entrepreneurial scrappiness and ambition
  • Impeccable interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal
  • Critically important is the ability to successfully navigate organisations, find the right leverage points and build relationships.
