Your role will focus on providing expert advice and the management and delivery of client engagements. You will have responsibilities for:

  • Delivering FinOps advice to our clients and identifying solutions to their opportunities and issues.
  • Supporting our clients to align their FinOps strategy with their overall Cloud, technology & business strategies
  • Establishing FinOps capabilities including tooling, reporting, ways of working, governance, showback/chargeback, budgeting/forecasting and cost optimization
  • Continually improve your understanding of FinOps technologies and vendors, as well as the industries in which our clients operate
  • Advising our clients on how to optimise their Cloud investments and projects through the practice of FinOps
  • Supporting the continued growth of our business through contributing to propositions, training, marketing, communications and recruitment activities
  • Be a subject matter specialist in diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution

Connect to your skills and professional experience

We are looking for candidates who are able to demonstrate skills and experience in some of the following:

  • An understanding of the theory, methodologies, and practical implementation of FinOps
  • Leading mid and large-scale organisations in some or all of the following areas: quantifying the business value of cloud, defining FinOps strategies, evaluating FinOps solutions, designing and implementing FinOps capabilities/processes, optimising Cloud spend
  • Public Cloud and infrastructure cost management technologies and tools (e.g. Cloud Service Provider native cost management solutions, VMware CloudHealth, Apptio Cloudability, CloudChekr, etc.)
  • Relevant experience in building methods and tools to review clients' technology landscapes to identify a range of business-valued cloud uses cases and selecting the preferred public cloud platform for each use case
  • Experience in reviewing and optimizing cloud-based usage and spending post initial cloud deployments
  • Excellent articulation, communication and strong interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of core IT finance topics (e.g. budgeting, forecasting, total cost of ownership, cost allocation, depreciation and amortisation, discounted cash flow forecast)

Additional desirable experience includes:

  • Achieved or working towards FinOps Foundation Certified Practitioner
  • Achieved or working towards certifications with established Cloud technologies at associate level (e.g. AWS Solutions Architect Associate, Azure Solutions Architect, GCP Associate Engineer)
  • Familiarity with common IT Service Management tools and associated repositories (e.g. asset repositories, data models)

We are subject to a number of audit regulations, one of which requires that certain colleagues abide by specific personal independence constraints (e.g., in relation to any financial interests and employment relationships). This can mean that you and your "Immediate Family Members" are not permitted to hold certain financial interests (shares, funds, bonds etc.) with audit clients of the firm, and also prohibitions on certain employment relationships (e.g., you are not permitted to hold a secondary employment role with SEC audit clients of the firm whilst being employed by the firm).
