Our opportunity:

We are looking for a Senior Consultant or Account Director to join our Financial Services team in London.

Ideal for someone who thrives on driving activity forwards across multiple accounts and who enjoys being recognised as clients' key point of support.

What you'll be doing:

You will use your skills and experience of financial services to lead a variety of accounts in this sector, owning responsibility for activity; managing client accounts, including working across sectors within SEC Newgate and working closely with junior staff and senior management.

You will be expected to:

  • Take day to day responsibility for strategic accounts and client relationships
  • Develop and deliver industry leading communications programmes, working with our colleagues with regards to political engagement, digital activation and even crisis comms
  • Support the growth of the financial services practice by actively identifying and pursuing new business leads and supporting the company's marketing
  • Line manage Account Managers and Executives and play a leading role in their professional development

Ideal for you if you:

  • Have a good track record of developing and delivering programmes across multiple accounts - with a keen focus on proactivity
  • Are comfortable leading teams and managing both up and down
  • Demonstrate confidence in building and managing relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Have a proven ability to think strategically, to manage projects and workstreams and to deliver client-ready documents and events
  • Have experience of actively nurturing and developing members of your team and ideally some experience line managing them
  • Are a strong writer, have good presentation skills and an appetite for new business
  • Know the financial services sector and have good relationships with both trade and national media
  • Have exceptional organisational and time management skills
  • Enjoy working in a fast paced organisation, with a close-knit team
