HOW WILL YOU MAKE CHANGE HAPPEN?

This role is primarily responsible for delivery on data and analytics work using modern data platforms and analytical techniques.

YOU WILL:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to support analytics, business intelligence and data science initiatives
  • Implement and optimize data storage solutions, including data lakes and data warehouses on cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, and Azure
  • Develop and maintain data models, schemas, and metadata repositories
  • Design data solutions that integrate both modern and legacy platforms, ensuring seamless data flow and accessibility
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and security throughout the data lifecycle
  • Utilize orchestration tools, DevOps and SDLC principles, containerization techniques, and microservices to automate, secure, and scale data engineering solutions effectively.
  • Collaborate with client account teams to understand and meet data engineering needs for various clients, to grow existing and build new client relationships with some of the most exciting brands in the world
  • Adopt and communicate new concepts, ideas, techniques, and best practices including prototyping new architecture methods, tools and products that might provide future value to our clients

IDEALLY, WE'D LIKE:

  • Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in computer science, computer engineering, data engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, including designing and implementing ETL processes, data pipelines, and data storage solutions
  • Extensive experience with cloud platforms and their data services, with relevant cloud data engineering certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics, Google Professional Data Engineer, Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate)
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with at least one programming language such as Python, Java, or Scala
  • Advanced knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD practices for data engineering workflows, and SDLC principles in data engineering contexts
  • Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka
  • Experience with data modeling and database design (relational and NoSQL)
  • Knowledge of data governance principles and best practices
  • Experience in designing and implementing microservices architecture
  • Some experience working with data visualization techniques and tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau, Looker) and deploying enterprise wide analytics dashboards.
  • Strong ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, hybrid environment
  • Strong communication skills and ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • 2+ years of experience leading data engineering projects or workstreams
  • Travel: regional travel expected on an as-needed basis depending on client needs, up to 50%

WHAT WOULD MAKE YOU STAND OUT:

  • A solid background in growing a data and analytics business through strong delivery and bringing new ideas in a consulting environment
  • Experience with modern data engineering tools and frameworks (e.g., Airflow, DBT, Snowflake)
  • Experience with real-time data processing and streaming technologies
  • Understanding of machine learning pipelines and MLOps practices
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) •
  • Experience in machine learning, artificial intelligence, or other advanced data-drive technique
