Salary: £45,000 to £52,000, plus company car

Bonus: Up to 10% bonus

Responsibilities

As a Senior Construction Quality Analyst at NHBC, you play a pivotal role in ensuring that construction projects meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. With providing valuable insights and recommendations to improve quality, safety, and sustainability practices you will play an important role with our customer builders to help improve standards across the industry.

*Please note this opportunity is location specific to Oxfordshire and surrounding areas.

Availability - Part of the interviewing process will involve attending an assessment centre on the 29th May.

What you'll be doing:

As the go-to regional expert for Construction Quality services, you'll have the exciting opportunity to collaborate with a diverse range of customers, including builders, developers, housing associations, trades, and manufacturers. With the flexibility to work from home and the thrill of being on the move at least three days a week, this role offers a dynamic environment for your personal growth and development.

As the CQS regional contact, you'll play a pivotal role in undertaking Construction Quality Services and driving forward build quality and product uptake within your region. By building strong rapport with our valued customers at the site and regional business unit levels, you'll be instrumental in not just achieving high levels of customer satisfaction but also shaping the standards of excellence in the construction industry.

A significant aspect of your role will involve conducting Construction Quality Reviews on sites or products to ensure compliance with relevant legislation. Your insights and feedback will not only raise the bar for build quality but also play a crucial role in enhancing NHBC's Warranty technical risk management processes and setting new standards of excellence in the industry.

While your typical workload will be within your defined geographical area (Oxford / Aylesbury / Bicester area), you will also need to be ready for occasional nationwide travel and overnight stays, which will add additional diversity and adventure to your role.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience within the house-building industry
  • Good knowledge of Building Regulations, NHBC Standards and Building Control.
  • The ability to build rapport and convey complex technical information to site personnel clearly and concisely.
  • To be insightful, creative, persuasive and diplomatic.
  • To be an effective communicator face to face, in workshops, in written reports and through presentations.
  • To be highly organised and able to prioritise a demanding workload.
  • A keen interest in learning and keeping up to date with industry related improvements, building standards and developments.
  • The ability to gather and analyse information to support decision making.

Please note when applying that this is a physically demanding role requiring visits to construction sites and reviews of buildings throughout the whole of the build process. Including working frequently at height.

Qualifications

Education and Qualifications:

Relevant accredited NHD/NHC qualification or higher and or substantial industry experience.

A full Driving licence is required for this role.

NHBC Building Safety Regulator Framework:

Although not a regulatory requirement for the role, NHBC intends to get all Construction Quality Services technical team members to the same competency level as a registered Inspector with the Building Safety Regulator.
