About the Role
Base Location: Inverness, Aberdeen, Perth, Glasgow
Salary: £44,100 - £66,100 + car /car allowance + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.
Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available
The key responsibilities of this position are:
- To lead a team focussed on providing environmental support to the Operations and Asset Management team in accordance with SSE Corporate policies and procedure, acting as they key interface and initial point of contact.
- Lead with the production of SSEN - Transmission policies and procedure to ensure all environmental, legal, and regulatory requirements and obligations are fully incorporated and implemented within Operational and Asset Management theatre of operation.
- Manage a small team of Consents and Environment Managers (Operations) and mentor less experienced members of the Operations and Asset Management team environmental team, supporting their professional development.
What do I need?
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
- Previous line management experience and/or ability to support personal and professional development of staff.
- Demonstrable experience in environmental management, assessment, compliance and thorough knowledge of environmental law relating to infrastructure assets.
- Demonstrates understanding and experience of financial planning for capital projects.
- Experience managing the interaction between business and regulatory regimes.
- Detailed knowledge and experience of Scottish infrastructure consenting regimes (planning and environmental) coupled with knowledge and experience of Environmental Impact Assessment legislation.
