Overview
Salary: £55,000 - £71,000 depending on experience + £7,500 London weighting + up to 10% discretionary bonus.
Working hours: Monday - Friday 9 am - 5 pm.
Working Location: London (3 days at office location)
Employment Type: Permanent

Responsibilities
What you'll be doing
- Proactively manage home warranty claims to deliver good outcomes for policyholders and successful conclusions for NHBC.
- Assessment and analysis of large/complex case files to establish factual information, such as policy cover, third-party involvement, securities, and recovery options.
- Determine validity against policy coverage on large/complex cases and have ownership to the point of completion.
- Develop and present validity recommendations to senior colleagues (up to executive level).
- Define project plans with key milestones and duration and deliver to that, keeping it under regular review and updated as necessary.
- Ensure understanding and adherence to all regulatory requirements (including Consumer Duty) and internal policies, procedures and governances.
- Identify and manage the risks involved in running our business (appropriate to the role) and in line with NHBC policies and procedures.
The ideal candidate will have
- Extensive knowledge and experience of claims management within construction claims.
- Experience in handling high-value buildings or construction claims.
- A good knowledge of FCA requirements and insurance legislation.
- Self-motivated and able to demonstrate good lateral thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Will be an expert communicator (written and verbal) and be able to lead by positively influencing others to achieve results.
