Salary: Grade G Starting Salary is £35,235 (Level one) rising to £37,938 (Level four) per annum (pro rata for part time)

About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Community Care Officer working in the Nottingham Health and Care Point (NHCP) based at Dragon Court. This is our Adult Social Care 'front door' team and is the first point of contact for individuals seeking social care support, and we are committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred care for some of the most vulnerable adults in our city.
We need to be able to provide an effective and timely response to contacts from citizens, professionals and members of the public, to ensure that an adult's needs are met at the earliest opportunity and the senior role is crucial in the decision-making process to support this.
You will also support a team of Community Care Officers and Prevention Officers with the assessment and care planning of adults across the city.
Ideally you will have experience of working within Adult Social Care and will have worked as a Community Care officer or an equivalent role assessing and supporting vulnerable citizens. You will provide caseload and developmental supervision, support, advice and mentoring to colleagues within the team to achieve and sustain high standards of performance, quality outcomes, best value and excellent customer service.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Substantial experience of working with adults experiencing a range of difficulties including learning disabilities, mental health issues, physical health problems and substance abuse
- The ability to analyse information to reach sound decisions, often under pressure, and take responsibility for their outcome and regular reporting to the Team Manager
- The ability to understand and challenge complex assessments in relation to the needs of citizens and their carers based on a person-centred, strength-based approach and ensuring best value
- The ability to provide caseload supervision and developmental support and mentoring to other colleagues using performance indicators to monitor and improve performance
- The ability to apply the principles of equal opportunities in service provision and employment, promoting anti-discriminatory practice.
- A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post.
- The role requires you to participate in an office based duty rota.
