About the Role: As a Senior Communications Officer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping external and internal communications that align with Nottingham City Council's priorities and statutory duties. You'll be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive communication strategies that effectively engage diverse audiences and drive our mission forward.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Lead the development of communication action plans that promote Nottingham City Council's objectives and engage key stakeholders.
  • Content Creation: Oversee the production of high-quality content across multiple channels, including digital platforms, social media, and print, ensuring clarity and impact.
  • Media Relations: Manage media enquiries and deliver proactive communications to enhance Nottingham City Council's reputation and address critical issues. ️
  • Campaign Management: Design and evaluate a range of communication and engagement campaigns to support behaviour change and promote council initiatives.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with senior leadership, providing strategic advice and coordinating communication efforts across departments.
