Our Balfour Beatty Highways business has a terrific opportunity for a Senior Commercial Manager for our Lower Thames Crossing project.

What you'll be doing

As a Senior Commercial Manager, you will report to and deputise for the Project Commercial Director on the Lower Thames Crossing Roads North, valued at over £1.2Bn. You will be Responsible for the financial management of this major, complex project through the development phase and through construction.

  • An ability to see bigger picture and prioritise business opportunities.
  • Willing to take initiative to respond to market/customer requirements.
  • Understands how economic factors that affects the construction industry.
  • Manages the feedback of commercial data to Planning and Estimating.
  • The ability to review tenders & cost data.
  • To manage the preparation of Target Cost for a Project Planning
  • Formulation of management plans for resource procurement.
  • Application of legislation and ability to liaise with legal experts
  • Management and reporting of Commercial Risk and Opportunity
  • Management of disallowed cost

Who we're looking for

The following qualifications are essential:

  • BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or experience equivalent
  • Member or Fellow of RICS, ICES or CIOB
