What you'll be doing

As a Senior Commercial Manager, you will have the following accountabilities:

  • Lead the commercial management of major or complex projects from inception to completion, including tendering, negotiating, and agreeing contracts
  • Manage contracts, costs, and supply chain relationships to keep projects on track.
  • Oversee preparation of estimates, tenders, and monthly commercial reports.
  • Provide strong leadership to your commercial team-supporting, mentoring, and developing future talent.
  • Ensure compliance with governance standards, contract law, and industry best practice.
  • Represent Balfour Beatty's commercial interests with clients, stakeholders, and partners.
  • Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities.
  • Drive procurement strategies and resource planning.

Who we're looking for

  • BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent).
  • Chartered Member or Fellow of RICS, ICES, or CIOB (or working towards), with CPD maintained.
  • CSCS Card (Professionally Qualified Person).
  • Proven experience in commercial management, client liaison, project management, and team leadership.
  • Strong understanding of the construction industry, commercial awareness, flexibility, and negotiation skills.
