Senior Commercial Finance Manager

LOCATION
This role will be based in our London (Soho) office, and we offer a hybrid working pattern of 3 days in the office and 2 days WFH.
JOB ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Business partner teams and team members across the UK & Ireland Business Unit, taking a lead role in partnering a number of UK&I Leadership Team members
- Support the UK&I Heads of Sales for eCommerce & Premium Retail on Trading Activity decisions, commercial planning & P&L management
- Collaborate with Commercial Teams on P&L and Profitability modelling for discussions with third-party retailers
- Manage the UK&I Digital Media Budget alongside the Marketing & Commercial teams to ensure adherence to budgets, correct allocation of spend and Post-Campaign ROI analysis
- Support the Finance & Supply Chain Director across projects within the business
- Responsible for the reporting of the UK & Ireland Business Unit
- Provide accurate and timely financial information, including reporting of performance, to the UK & Ireland Leadership Team to facilitate decision making
- Provide detailed financial analysis to develop insights, identify trends and actionable opportunities
- Liaise with business partners to ensure financial impact of decisions is highlighted and understood
- Drive the delivery of detailed forecasts and plans for the UK & Ireland Business Unit
- Support the development of Financial Plans and forecasts including development of building blocks and associated activities
- Monitor and track the financial progress of operational activities / building blocks. Work closely with the UK & Ireland Leadership Team to develop and implement corrective action where needed to deliver on budgeted commitments
- Ensure regular review of the UK & Ireland Cost centres to ensure spend is in line with the Budget / Forecast
- Deliver operational finance activities for the UK & Ireland Business Unit including
- Complete Month-end accounting activities, such as accruals, prepayment, rebate deductions
- Provide analysis and explanations of performance
- Develop financial acumen across all levels of the business through day-to-day support as well as ad-hoc financial training
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- University degree and/or professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with supporting professional experience
- Minimum of 5 years post qualification experience gained across Commercial Finance, Business Partnering and Management Accounting in addition to a good grounding in Financial Accounting.
- Previous experience gained in an FMCG or retail business is essential in addition to a proven track record of effectively supporting and influencing stakeholders and providing a full 'business partnering service'.

- Previous experience of Data warehouse / ERP systems (MSD, TM1, PowerBI & Tableau experience beneficial)
