Our roles are hybrid, however you should be able to travel to our Edinburgh office, 1 day per week for this position.

We're looking for a Senior Analyst to join our Help me Borrow Acquisition team at Tesco Bank
As a Senior Analyst within the Help Me Borrow Value Stream, you will support the prioritisation and delivery of customer decisioning initiatives across credit cards and personal loans that enable effective and efficient management of trade. Reporting to the Senior Customer Value Manager, you will work with internal SME teams and deliver in-depth insights into the acquisition funnels across both products with a key focus on decisioning. This is a great time to join Tesco Bank as the team prepares to transfer to Barclays, UK and prepares for the next stage of growth.
What you'll be doing
• Providing data-driven insights into the Decisioning funnel to identify new opportunities
• Interpret commercial results and provide insights and recommendations on commercial trends.
• Help managers make effective decisions based on the data, and ensure they are clear on the implications.
• Optimising the decision funnel for risk, reward, cost and customer experience
• Collaborating with stakeholders across key SME teams to build and manage the Decision funnel reporting
• Support development of business cases by estimating cost and revenue impacts to justify the project investment
We need you to have
• Prior experience in consumer lending, particularly credit cards or personal loans
• Working knowledge of SAS or SQL and other data analysis tools
• An ability to draw clear and simple conclusions from complex data sets
• A customer-oriented mindset and ensure we keep them at the heart of what we do
And if you have any of these, even better
• A good understanding of credit risk strategies and methodologies
• A reasonable understanding of fraud, KYC, AML and other screening practices
• Demonstrate resourcefulness in sourcing relevant data and creating innovative methodologies to derive meaningful insights.

Role Alignment
Following the announcement regarding Tesco's' strategic partnership with Barclays, this role will support our banking business and will transfer to Barclay's UK towards the end of 2024, subject to regulatory approval. Please note, the transfer date may change.
