The role
A We are looking to hire a Senior Colour Forecaster to join our Content team in London on a fixed-term basis to cover the maternity leave of an existing employee.

This is a fixed-term role until January 2027.

This is an office-based role out of our London office.

Role overview

We're looking for a Senior Colour Forecaster to shape the future of global colour direction at WGSN. In this role, you'll translate cultural shifts, data and consumer insights into bold, actionable forecasts that inspire leading brands worldwide. Combining commercial vision and data analytics with creativity, you'll oversee workshops with the global team, co-create seasonal palettes and write forecasts with authority, guiding clients and setting the global standard for colour intelligence.

The team

The WGSN colour team is global, with CMF members in the US, UK, APAC and LATAM. You would work closely with these members, as well as the Fashion, Interiors, Beauty, Tech Sport and Outdoor and data experts.

Key accountabilities

  • Develop and deliver WGSN's global colour forecasts, seasonal palettes, and long-term strategies
  • Identify cultural, social, consumer sentiment and technological shifts influencing colour direction
  • Collaborate with our data experts to develop and interpret key metrics for colour forecasts
  • Collaborate with our regional experts to ensure global insights have local relevance
  • Collaborate with our CMF experts to ensure palettes are informed and aligned across industries
  • Collaborate with our catwalk teams to provide clear fashion catwalk directions
  • Present colour strategies to clients and colour insights in media and webinars with authority and impact; represent WGSN as a global thought leader in colour forecasting
  • Work with internal sales and marketing teams to align colour insights with client needs and brand goals and provide colour guidance to key accounts

Skills, experience & qualifications required

Industry Expertise

  • Proven colour experience within the fashion and textile industry, plus knowledge of interiors, beauty, sport & outdoor, consumer tech, automotive
  • Ability to pinpoint colour trends that will impact multiple industries, products, and consumers
  • Deep knowledge of consumer, fashion, and lifestyle product trends, from macro to micro level
  • Career experience in data analysis, consumer insight, design, buying, or content creation

Analytical & Content Skills

  • Proven experience in visual research, analysis, writing, and editing content with excellent written English and strong presentation skills
  • The ability to interpret data, quantitative and qualitative information to identify patterns and future market-shaping trends
  • Confidence in using AI to improve and speed workflow

Collaboration & Communication

  • Outstanding communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in international teams
  • Ability to manage personal workload, take ownership of assignments, and support team members when needed with strong relationship-building skills across content, sales, client services, and marketing teams
