Job overview
The post holder will provide clinical leadership, oversight and governance for the CBT team in the Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale boroughs. They will work closely with Step 3/3.5 Service Manager, Clinical Lead and Highly Specialist Psychological Therapist in providing this.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be responsible for development and delivery of this high-quality service in accordance with Pennine Care's Service Development strategy and the NHS long-term plan. They will provide effective clinical leadership within the service, working to meet the needs of the local population and national KPIs.
They will provide psychological assessment, formulation and intervention at the level of complexity appropriate to a senior therapist working at Step 3/3.5. They will provide weekly supervision and case consultations for clinicians within Thinking Ahead and lead on research, audit and development strategies, generating practice-based evidence. They will attend a weekly Response Hub MDT.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
To provide a high level of specialist expertise within the application of cognitive and / or behavioural treatments, consistent within an IAPT model.
To be consulted on cases which will be considered outliers to a standard IAPT operating model, typically labelled as 'complex', 'challenging' or 'chronic', but may fall within a common mental disorders pathway.
To ensure IAPT compliance within the service, assuring the service manager of CBT governance and ensuring the delivery of CBT therapies across the service which aims to meet the needs of a largely heterogeneous socio-cultural demographic.
To ensure supervision governance standards are delivered within the "Supervision of Psychological Therapies" competency frame work (CSIP / skills for health); to enable the CBT workforce to deliver NICE compliant recovery focused treatment that meets IAPT model fidelity.
To provide clinical supervision and / or supervision of supervision to CBT therapists, Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners (PWP) and develop CBT pathways and treatments within the service. The post holder will support the clinical lead in delivering robust clinical leadership across the service, and report to the senior manager and clinical lead.

Essential
Essential criteria
- Fully accredited CBT therapist with BABCP
- Additional training in CBP/other modalities
- Completed Talking Therapies supervision training
- Experience of working to targets to achieve clinical outcomes
- Track record of delivering TT-compliant supervision to workforce
- Worked with a primary-care patient population and delivered outcomes
- Experience of teaching and leading CPPD
- Experience of working in partnership with other agencies, teams or organisations
Desirable criteria
- EMDR-qualified and/or working towards accreditation
- Track record of teaching CBT skills and principles
- Experience of providing consultation to staff on CBT principles
