- To ensure that data collection and electronic case report form (eCRF) completion is performed to the required standards of the current EU, UK and FDA legislation, Trust SOPs and Sponsor contractual obligations.
- To design and implement tools and guidance for clinical trial data capture.
- To regularly report on data entry status to ensure deadlines are met for interim and final analysis.
- To represent the Data Management team at research meetings.
- To prepare and facilitate the archiving of essential clinical trial documents and source data as per Trust SOPs.
- To undertake projects with relation to office management as required.
- Tissue tracking using RMH systems (as applicable).

Education/Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Educated to at least GCSE/A level (or equivalent)
Experience
Essential criteria
- Good understanding of medical terminology
- Experience of working with databases, data entry and data management
Skills/Abilities/Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Excellent administrative and organisational skills
- Competence in research orientated PC software including Microsoft Office packages
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Good attention to detail
- Understanding of clinical trials and regulations governing clinical research
Desirable criteria
- Experience of navigating Electronic Medical Records systems e.g. EPIC or equivalent

- Able to work on both sites and to be flexible to meet the needs of the role

Flu Vaccination - What We Expect of our Staff
At The Royal Marsden we have an immune compromised patient population who we must protect as much as we can against the flu virus. Each year, seasonal flu affects thousands of people in the UK. Occurring mainly in winter, it is an infectious respiratory disease capable of producing symptoms ranging from those similar to a common cold, through to very severe or even fatal disease.
The wellbeing of our staff and patients is of the upmost importance to us, and it is the expectation of The Royal Marsden that all patient-facing staff have an annual flu vaccination, provided free of charge by the Trust.
