Person specification

Qualifications

Essential criteria

• Degree/Diploma in Nursing
• Evidence of relevant post-registration training/CPD
• NMC Registration

Desirable criteria

• Good Clinical Practice certificate
• Research experience, or experience in haematology/haematology-oncology
• Mentorship training

Knowledge

Essential criteria

• Understanding of clinical research
• Knowledge of ICH-Good Clinical Practice regulations
• Knowledge of NHS systems and processes
• Knowledge of evidence-based practice
• Knowledge of clinical governance
• Ability to manage difficult situations and conflict resolution
• Ability to work within Trust policies (data protection, equal opportunities, health and safety)
• Understanding of complex medical, social, and psychological needs of patients

Desirable criteria

• Knowledge of clinical and research governance
• Knowledge of current health policy and its relevance to healthcare delivery

Experience

Essential criteria

• Significant experience working in a clinical environment within the NHS
• Proven ability to meet deadlines
• Experience managing a busy workload

• Experience in clinical research delivery
• Experience in advanced therapies
• Audit experience

• Excellent communication skills
• IT skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and email
