Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Registered Nurse -currently registered with NMC
- Degree in healthcare subject or equivalent level of experience
Desirable criteria
- Mentorship training
- Good Clinical Practice certificate
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Understanding of clinical research
- Knowledge of ICH- Good Clinical Practice regulations relating to clinical research
Desirable criteria
- Knowledge of clinical and research governance
- Knowledge of Trust policies and procedures
Experience
Essential criteria
- Significant experience working in high-acuity patient care settings.
- Proven experience of working to deadlines
- Proven experience of dealing with a busy workload
- Experience of explaining complex concepts to patients in a clear and simplified manner
- Evidence of CPD
- Planning/organising workload
Desirable criteria
- Data management experience
- Audit experience
- Experience in clinical research
- Additional specialist training/experience in Emergency Medicine/ Critical Care/ Anaesthesia
Skills
Essential criteria
- Wide range of clinical skills, including venepuncture
- Excellent communication skills
- Awareness and respect for confidentially
- Knowledge of electronic patient record system.
- Demonstrable IT skills including email and Microsoft office programs (including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)
Desirable criteria
- Clinical experience in Emergency Medicine/ Critical Care/ Anaesthesia
- Clinical Research nursing experience
- Evidence of IT training Advanced use of spreadsheets
